Guilty pleasure movies

What are your guilty pleasure movies,
You know the ones that you cant really defend in terms of plot etc but you just love them and watch em everytime they are on tv

Mine are Blades of Glory & Muriels Wedding.

I dont know why but I just cant turn them off

Planet of the Apes (Burton's version).

Yeah, I know, it lacks compared to the original, but I can still find myself watching it whenever it's on TV. There's something about it that seems to keep my interest and enjoyment. I don't think it was as bad as many claim, despite the flaws, but I'm happy to be in the minority on this one.

As far as I'm concerned there's nothing to 'defend' about Muriel's Wedding, it's a very good film full stop.

If we're talking about car-crash films that can't be turned off, I particularly love Mae West's 'Sextette'. It is the very essence of camp, and the turn of grotesquely trussed-up 85-year old West, dribbling out scintillatingly icky sexual innuendos, makes the contemporary likes of Dick Emery appear positively redundant in the female impersinator stakes.

Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood

Utterly ridiculous movie, and typical Wayans brothers fare; but absolutely hilarious as far as I'm concerned.

The Police Academy movies for me. I grew up with them in the 80's, and I dunno...I just loved all the characters. It gets a bad rep these days, but I find it's rare that I care so much about the characters in comedy films. Yes these are naff, cheesy 80's flicks, with little to no story, but I can just watch them all day because the guys are so funny and likeable. Me and my mate were massive fans back when we were teens, and I'll always have a soft spot for them. Just ordered the box set in fact! :o :D

I always enjoy Coming to America.

"Hey Mortimer, we're back!"

For me:

Dodgeball.

First saw it whilst visiting frienRAB. "Let's watch a film" is suggested at the start of the afternoon.

I'm told the synopsis with the warning 'you'll think you won't like it, but watch it, you'll love it."

They are right.

Shouldn't like it but....... :D

I enjoy that one, too. And other teen movies like A Walk to Remember and Centre Stage. They're nostalgic for me, since I was their target audience back in the early 00s when those type of slushy romance movies were everywhere.

Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow. I love old planes and the Curtiss P40 is one of my favourites - and it's got a Zeppelin, giant robots, a mad scientist, giant robots and a rocket ship not to mention giant robots :)
