GTA4 cheats don't stop you from getting 100%

If you do the health/armor cheat, it only blocks the "cleaned the mean streets" achievement for that gaming session. Restart the game from your last save, even if you used the cheat right before you saved, and you can get the achievement, as long as you don't use the cheat when you kill your 20th criminal.

I finally got around to getting the achievement today, and I must have used the health/armor cheat about 120 times. (the cheat is faster than finding food/hooker/gun shop, plus I flat out like cheating, and it heals your car if you're in one, lol..)

I read somewhere the same is true for the other achievements that get blocked when you cheat, but I haven't confirmed them, probably true though.
 
I used all the car cheats through the story.
Once I finished the main storyline I got all the achievements that were locked by cheats and now I just run around shooting stuff with RPGs and flying around in the shitty helicopter killing people.
 
i scroll down on my cellphone and it takes 5 presses of the button total from getting out the cellphone to getting a car or full ammunition, instead of wandering around after a mission puts me somewhere with no cars within a mile around... saves time. It's not like money is of any value or I am short on money anyways.
 
I honestly don't think i've ever finished a GTA game short of a few months to a year after I got it, still haven't finished SA actually. Most of what I do is just fucking around.
 
Since I got the "cleaned the mean streets" achievement, now when I do the health cheat, I get the "finish him" achievement blocked instead. I guess it's gonna just cycle through the achievements until there aren't any left.

Yeah. I knew you could climb up them but I just thought there might be a way to get in the spaceship things. Guess not. Still cool that they have them though.
