GTA IV LOVERS v. info from the midnight launch

It's out here. Came home from the midnight launch about 10 hours ago (I worked at the launch, I was selling them rather than there for buying them).

I figured I'd pass on stuff I noticed that you might not know about (or it might be on the internet already). XBOX 360 version had a separate disc in a separate case for the "extra content" that's apparently unlockable via some 500 gamer point thing.

Also, every store here was meant to run some sorta competition with the launch, where they gave out a couple of free GTA IV t-shirts, and some GTA IV mugs, uhh, a beanie was given out too. At our store we had a pop quiz, not sure how it's being done at other stores, let alone other countries. But I guess be ready to win some goodies!



PS: I don't even own a console. I'm just passing this info on incase it isn't already out there on the intertubes. So don't mind me for being illiterate/ignorant with the correct terms.

Yah. Fuckin Aussies. We're only getting it because Australia made a big fuss about it. Our country's too lazy to bother with this shit on their own otherwise.
 
Well, it's a separate case really. Like, if we hadn't checked to see the "NO GAME INCLUDED" sign along the bottom, we would've ended up giving those to customers as the game. So it actually looks like a game disc in itself.

We were asked to hand a copy of that free with every XBOX 360 copy sold.

I wanna see where there is a rule saying "Any post regarding games/GTA IV will be merged into a stupid thread in the Gamers Pulse forum". What if I was posting information that I ONLY wanted to share with fellow paying members of rabroad?
 
Yep. We were asked to give the disc with every XBOX 360 copy - even with the special edition box.

And, I believe it said it required 500 gamer points to unlock. I'm not sure, but I think I even read downloadable content on there? Which negates the whole point of having another disc for them to give you. So really, I'm not entirely sure on this part.
 
Heh, shocking.

Store opened at 11:30 PM, at midnight we got about 15 copies out of the door. We were meant to stay opened till 01:00 AM, but we ended up closing at 12:05 AM

That's how bad it was, lol.
