GT-R broke Clarkson's neck

He said it was boring to drive on the motorways. No shit motorways are boring.

He didn't shit on the computers, he said he didn't mind that because it's Japanese he expects it to have computers.

Anyway he praised it pretty fucking highly in Sundays episode. More highly than I had expected.
 
In that epic race against the bullet train, he said he could just "feel" the potential within the GT-R but was limited by the governer. That's why when he got to the race track and the governor was automatically taken off, he started to see what the car really could do.
 
The only negative thing about the car for me is the looks which is unfortunately very important. But still, a 4 seater faster than a 911 turbo for a lot less money.

If you have the cash, you can make it look any thing you want. Hell, how many cars do you see driving around with supra tail lights? How many 240SXs do you see with Silvia head lights? Same thing with a GT-R, you can make it look however you want using a bodykit, a wing, some wheels, and a set of coilovers...and if thats not enough bring it to a custom shop and they'll custom build you a Ferarri front end, or cut the roof some more
 
yes, you can. But i guarantee you, any of those cost significantly more than 10k. Plus you need to know what you need it to look like.

I'd rather buy a car i find attractive to begin with, aka an audi r8.
 
audi R8 costs like 30 grand more, and no those don't cost that much they range from like 4K for the cheapest, 6K for most of them, and 10K for the more exotic looking ones
 
Plus the body is very well designed aerodynamically so if you changed it, the car wouldn't be as fast/controllable anymore.

70k for a car that's as fast as a 911 turbo around a track. Count me in.
 
thats the whole point, kit cars can completely change how a car looks...thats a 93 Accord, thats RWD and mid engined


well usually when a person bitches about a car's looks its about a specific part "I hate the rear", "I hate the front", "I hate those rims", and all of those can be changed



yes the body is aero-designed and yes it might be a tiny bit slower. But some people prefer to give up a little bit to get get back elsewhere
 
most new mass produced sports cars look like shit when they are released, and majority of them will grow on you.
give it time, wait till some of the popular tuners in japan bring out kits, styles, etc. most of you will see yourselves mclovin' it, especially after you have a test drive.

when you change the entire essence of what the car is, how can you still call it an accord? Its a custom kit car, even if it has accord badges on it.
 
it doesn't have accord badges, it is a custom kit car...but that's what I'm saying with enough money you can turn a totalled honda accord into a sports car. So think what you can do to an already existing sports car.
