GSM tri-/quad-band that takes multiple SIMs?

I understand there are a few GSM phones out there that have multiple SIM sockets so that you can put in two SIMs and change between accounts. (I don't need simultaneous access, I just want to be able to switch between two numbers without physically removing SIMs.)

First off, what models have this function? And particularly, what of them are quad band (or at least tri- 900/1800/1900)?

I have a European trip coming up and I'm going to have at least 2 SIMs and possibly three, and I want to minimize the hassle.

As an alternative, if anyone knows of a dual SIM adapter that doesn't involve cutting SIMs and works with either a Motorola RAZR V3 or a Motorola P280 (same as T280) that would work. I don't mind if I need to use a new battery cover.

Thanks,

Jim

If you have the opportunity, you can go get a Samsung SCH-W579- it has 2 SIM slots built in. It's supposed to be for CDMA and GSM (China uses R-UIMs) but you can tell the phone how to read the card in each slot- as a SIM or an R-UIM. So, you can tell the phone to read the card in either slot as a SIM. It's kind of expensive, though (about $700 unsubsidized) so if you don't have that kind of money, you'll have to find an adapter.

Have a look at www.2simphone.com

The phone is sold by Global Termination Holdings - issuer of the GT-SIM international roaming SIM. It's probably a Chinese commodity item, but this is the one and only quad-band GSM dual SIM phone I've seen. According to the blurb, it contains two independent GSM modules which means both SIM cards are active at the same time.

Don't think they have shipped yet, and it's an expensive toy, so I'm keeping watch on this one.
