GSM Phone with wifi

Hi all,

I've read this forum from time to time as I've needed answers to all my phone issues :-), however this is my first post.

Anyway, I'm looking for a phone and usually I just settle on something but this time I have a few needs that I'd like to satisfy. Background:

My primary consideration is wifi. I need a GSM phone that'll work on T-Mo (so I don't need 850 but it'd be nice). Other than that my main considerations are that it be cool and inexpensive (polar opposites I know). Anyway, I want a phone more like the N80 or something slim/small than I do like an HTC Wing.

I've been looking at the N80, E61i and a lot of the other Nokias but the problem for me is that they are so expensive. My budget is ideally less than $300 but my main consideration (being able to read my e-mail and browse when in a wifi hotspot w/o having to pay T-Mo) makes finding an inexpensive phone hard.

I'd love any advice about phones I haven't considered. As I said my main consideration is the wifi, and otherwise: small (not an ipaq style), pocketable, mac compatible would be nice, BT, decent camera, but as I said these are secondary considerations. Thanks guys!

So I've also been looking at other forum posts from people who have similar needs and I think I've become a little more specific as well.

I think I'm really interested in the N80 but am not sure what the difference is between the regular and the internet edition. Also, any thoughts on cheaper options for wifi capable phones would be appreciated.

I looked at the Dash and E61i but I don't really love the form factor (though they're not bad and in a pinch I might go with them if other people love them).

Anyone?

If you are interested in a PDA phone, the Motorola M1000 is a nice phone. It's 3G/WiFi/Tri-band, and (around my area, at least) they hover around the $250-300 mark unlocked. Maybe think about that?

I, too, am looking for a phone like this.
Specifically, I'm looking for a clamshell-type with these features:
-capable of being unlocked, currently; or, factory unlocked
-clamshell
-WiFi 802.11b/g
-GPRS/EDGE class 32; 3G
-tri/quad band GSM

Those are the bare essentials. Basically, I want to be able to use T-Mo AND my voip services on the one device. T-Mo's "new" UMA feature seems like a bunch of b.s. to me since you have to *pay* for another plan, AND you can't use any other (well you can, but it'll cost you minutes, so whats the point).. From a business perspective it makes sense.. but there are already phones that have voip (not UMA) with GSM. Check out: Calypso C1250i & Hipi 1200. I can't find any dealers for these phones currently, but if the Nokia 6136 or Motorola A910 can be used in this way, then I'll definitely get one of them.

Anyone have any suggestions?
