you'll start to learn to mark people... that is, you'll start being able to tell how people will tip..

The Regular Tipper: This is a person, usually wholesome looking. Like John ritter kinda. they always tip as a rule... on the down side they follow the rules to a T... you get 10%... maybe 15.. period...

The Old time tipper: Elderly. Not the poverty old people.. the ones who actually thought ahead and had a plan for retirement.. They have a surprising amount of money and if come off as cheerful and listen to thier inane stories intentively they will tip you good...

the business tipper: In a business party or doing one on one business over lunch... they tip good as to not appear to be a prick to who they are with... as long as you give them good service... otherwise they will stiff you to show they wont get walked over...

ladies night: a few women, 21 to 40 in age, have dinner... be interested in thier yammering and flirt alittle but try to come off fem... sure they will prolly think your gay but will also tip you good...

the dead stiff: You could smile, give good service, not charge them for a side and blow em under the table while they eat and not get a tip... they are easy to spot... usually very sure of themselves.. egotistical.. demanding... might even come in wearing a suit because single business men are commonly this way... for the most part dont waste your time... your only chance at a tip out of these fuckers is if they are drinking, you get them another the second they are out... they might get screwed up enough and write the bill amount in the tip block(they always use a CC)...

as for your feet.. you get used to it... get some gel insoles... if the shoes cut up your ankles, put bandaids over the area before starting...

I waited tables for a long time, and now that I have a corporate card I always tip 20% rounded up...what the hell it's not my money and no one questions it.

Nikes may not be the best option for you, you should really try out some other type of footwear. Nikes are overrated and probably are bad for you feet given the type of activity you are involved in. You aren't running sprints or making jump shots. They're probably designed for high impact and not necessarily everyday comfort for alot of walking.

Dr Scholls might do the trick though....are you gellin?
