Groundhog Day specials/episodes?

No, not talking about that stupid Bill Murray movie, but the holiday--- Feb. 2nd is upon us, and so is Groundhog Day, one of the goofiest "holidays" of the year.

Thus, was wondering what shows/shorts/specials have been made that centered around the weather-forecasting event?

The only ones I can think of are:

- Looney Tunes' "One Meat Brawl", where the groundhog comes out to reveal his shadow expecting onlookers only to find---more cartoon hunters. That, and a nice song at hte beginning about the day itself from the groundhog. The ending was pretty funny as well.

- Rankin-Bass' "Jack Frost" special, which is generically a winter special (but these days doesn't seem to air outside of Christmas, if it airs at all), has a plot point centering around Groundhog Day, with the narrator being "Pardon-Me Pete", a famous groundhog. Cute special, though Jack Frost here is different from the one that met Frosty...

Wasn't there an episode of Pepper Ann that did a joke off of the Groundhog Day movie? I don't remember if it was Groundhog's Day in the episode or not.

As Told By Ginger had one with "Next Question", or at least that involved setting a groundhog free. Same thing.

That was "T.G.I.F." It wasn't actually Groundhog Day in the episode, it just borrowed the plot of the movie: Pepper Ann keeps reliving the same Friday over and over again. To begin with, she has a ball, sidestepping obstacles and awkward moments that she now sees coming and using her advanced knowledge of the day's events to her advantage (such as snagging a winning lottery ticket that a neighbor has lost), but as the loop continues, she gets increasingly bored and frustrated with the Mobius strip. It's only after she gets fed up and tells off her family and friends that the loop is finally broken. The following Saturday, everyone remembers exactly what she told them, and she must apologize.

I'm just looking for examples of the holiday itself (groundhogs, weather, etc.), not references to the movie...

The holiday really isn't considered that serious, so no one cares for making specials to it.:sweat:

A Silly Symphonies cartoon called Winter and a Looney Tunes cartoon called One Meat Brawl are set on Groundhog Day.

I do remember a "New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" episode about Groundhog's Day. I can't remember quite what happened, but I think Piglet was the main character there and I remember that they used Gopher as the groundhog...
