I agree with EducatedPanther. Im sure you did not tear anything. Any abdominal pressure will cause pain right now. That includes vomiting, coughing, laughing, and sneezing. REST and Pain medicine. That is the only answer. My doctor was a little stingy with the painkillers. That really aggravated me. I didnt stop complaining until he wrote the prescription! Even if I didnt need them I felt better knowing that I had them in my closet. The surgeon might tell you to take Motrin or Advil. Thats fine, HOWEVER, if you are in pain you should also have painkillers. Just be careful because some painkillers can make you throw up, which obviously will cause more abdominal pain. For me, I can only take Vicodin. Percocet gets me nauseus. Percocet is also stronger than Vicodin so if you can handle it, it is probably more helpful. I do have to point out that you can easily become dependent on painkillers. Only you know how you truly feel. If you need them, take them. I am currently taking Vicodin for back and neck pain from previous surgeries and I have to be honest with you, I would find it hard to stop taking it right now. So with that, just be careful.
