grips on sg, can i get a hand

ok done some searches, ask a few questions and got the info i needed i think, so i take the fat end of a zip tie to hold brake handle open, take two screws out but bottom half needs to move down some but seems to be held in place by a locking tab. what must i do to get it past the locking tab to pull grip off? i know its supposed to be easy but its my first time changing grips myself.
 
I've always had to at least loosen the 2 screws that hold on the main grip clamp too. You'll need to do a little bit of jiggling but it all has enough room if you take your time. Is this on a TBW bike or with cables?
 
did get the throttle side on. made it harder than it should have been on myself. first time changing grips so i was a little scared of messing something up. ill get the left on after work and post a photo. thanks.
 
Glad you got it. I usually loosen the lever clamp as well. Easiest just to cut the left off. Loosen the bolts and install the new grip. The HD left grip mounts in the switch housing. Fat part goes down. Aftermarket billet just tight screws on the grip.
