New guy here, just some backround info.

Been riding street bikes for 20 years now, startes with GSXR (my apologies) and moved into Harley Davidsons and now, wanting to move towards a Ducati.

I have decided on a 999 or 999s due to it being slighly longer than the 1098, and my height is an issue at almost 6' 2".

Anyways, looks like a nice place, and hopefully I can get some credible helpful information

welcome, just sold my 2007 HD RKC, going to Germany, you won't regret the Duc, if I wouldve got the Duc first wouldve never got the HD.

I have no regrets with HD's I have owned three of them and enjoyed all of them in their own way.

I just want to do something different, and I'm older and more mature, so to me the Duc is the heir apparent

I'm 6'4" and the 1098S was fairly comfortable out of the box (literally) and just got better with a few simple mods and you get a lot more performance. Just a thought.

There's a dealership close to work here, I am going to arrange a visit and sit on a couple of models they have set up for test rides.

That will be the deciding factor, but I won't deny, I have always liked the look of the 999s. But there's no telling what will happen between now and me actually moving on one. I still have to unload the bike I have, in a pretty bad consumer market.

sold my HD within 24 hours of putting it on craigslist, had 5 people e-mail and call overnight about it, can't hurt it only had 2500 miles in 30 months, beautiful suede blue and black RKC with ALOT of accessories.
