if you print it off, set it in a anonymous warehouse somewhere ..... "sell" it as some sort of *cough* derivitive, therefore making MORE MONEY ..... and when the time is right pass it off as debt payments .....

THEREFORE you place the burden of inflation-tagging onto to the PAYEES!!!!

cutting out "welfare" completely still wouldnt touch our structural debt problems.
it is all entitlement and healthcare spending (SS, medicare/medicaid)
 
There are a lot of idiots IMHO in the tea party, just like there are in other parties. That said, don't be fooled, they have some good ideas just like other parties do. We absolutely HAVE TO tackle our debt problem, we need to restructure the big 3, we need to raise taxes, we need to do whatever the fuck it takes to get back on track. Unfortunately the people in power are fucking slimy pieces of shit. If it was at all possible I would gladly see them all DIAF.

Well in the long run there are huge ramifications for the US. Too many it's not even worth talking about, I doubt it would happen. But the US would be fucked.
 
agreed. they need to be restructured it a way that will not lead to increased debt burdens under a relatively conservative trend growth estimate
 
Cutting welfare is such a tired argument, all of that money is spent, maybe not wisely, but it's spent, which contributes to economic activity, sales taxes, etc, so the actual burden of welfare isn't as drastic as people like to believe. It's nice in theory, because fuck poor people, it's not like human intelligence/capability follows a normal distribution like most things, but I don't think the benefits of cutting outweigh the costs.
