Greatest Villain Deaths

What are some of the greatest villain deaths that made you angry, sad, & happy that awful villain that you truely hated got a well-satisfied death.

Here's my best choices for the greatest villain deaths:

Jenner(Secret of the NIMH) - His death was pretty awesome with the whole "knife-to-the-back" formula, but he was still a great rat villain.

Frank Grimes
(The Simpsons) - Awesome funny villain who's Homer's best enemy who went crazy/berserk from Homer's dumb antics which shocked himself to death:p, the poor guy.

The Liquidator/Morgana's scary friends/Splatter Phoneix/Heatwave(Red),Lightwave(Yellow),& Radiowave(Green)(Darkwing Duck) - I'm happy the writers resurrected the Liquidator after his solo episode death.Morgana's scary friends' deaths while becoming mushrooms was creepy.Splatter Phoneix's death made me sad when she melted in paint & yet was a cool hot gothic painter villainess while it lasted. The 3 colorful Gosalyn clones' deaths was awesome, but funny with them appearing in the closing part of the episode, hehehe.

Zoltar/evil automaton of Hoyte Gunterkrust/the potato monsters(Eek! the Cat/Klutter) - Their deaths were pretty funny with the evil potato monsters heading to their most feared downfall of potato chip making, hehehe, & I'm surprised the writers resurrected Zoltar after his first episode planet exploding death.

Gaston
(Beauty & the Beast) - He may be the best worst Disney movie villain, but his death was well-satisfying for stabbing the poor Beast after sparing his life, what a jerk:mad:!!!!!

Magneto/Mystique/Apocalypse/Madame Hydra/Gauntlet(X-Men:Evolution) - All of their deaths were pretty awesome & but sad since they were great supervillains while it lasted, but actually both Magneto/Mystique were corrupted horsemen by Apocalypse though.

Mr.Death
(Mad Jack the Pirate) - His death was so hilarious by falling down & becoming a pile of bones, hehehe.

Barbera Streisand/Stan clone/Dr.Adams/evil towel/Rob Reiner/Michael the hand-cutting killer/The Woodland Critters/Orange County jerks/Lice President/The Russian terrorists/Bill Donahue
(South Park) - All of their deaths were pretty hilarious, but those rotten Orange County jerks & the Lice President's deaths were their greatest just desserts, go Butters & Clyde!!!!!!

Monkey Fist/Warmonga & Warhok(Kim Possible) - Their deaths were awesome with Ron's cool kickbutt awesomeness, but Monkey Fist's stone statue death was sad for such a cool supervillain.

Admiral Zhao/Jet/Combustion Man
(Avatar:The Last Airbender) - I may despise him at times, but his death from the Ocean Spirit was a bit sad though.Jet's death was emotionally sad as much as I hated Long Feng for what he did!!!!!Combustion Man's death was awesome, but he'll be missed though for such a worthy opponent for Aang & company.

The Dark Ace/Repton(Storm Hawks) - Their deaths made me sad especially with Master Cyclonis killing poor Dark Ace on purpose made me angry which I hope for her greater comeuppance in the next season.

Starscream/Meltdown/Soundwave(Transformers:Animated) - Their deaths were pretty cool, but poor Starscream will be missed.Of course Meltdown & Soundwave may have sort of survived though.

Aa'une(Chaotic:M'arrillian Invasion) - His death was pretty amazing with the awesome hero/villain team-up of Maxxor & Chaor, but he was an awesome scary, frightening villain while it lasted with a cool freaky design.

Vincent Vladislav Argost/Van Rook/Zak Monday/Eterno(The Secret Saturdays) - All of their deaths were sad/awesome which they'll be missed especially poor Van Rook for his brave heroism on making that sacrifice:(:crying:.

Count Dr.Acula(Fanboy & Chum-Chum) - His death by the sunlight was hilarious, but he'll be missed for such a great vampire villain voiced by Jeff Bennett.

Devimon/Datamon/Myotismon/The Dark Masters:Metal Seadramon,Puppetmon,& Machinedramon/Arukenimon & Mummymon/Oikawa/Black Wargreymon/Ice Devimon/The Devas/Cherubimon/Lucemon/Mercurimon/Kurata/Saber Leomon(season 5)/Belphemon/Yggdrasil(Digimon) - All of their deaths were pretty awesome, but I cried so much for Arukenimon, Mummymon, Black Wargreymon, & Mercurimon's deaths though and as much as I hated Myotismon & Kurata, their deaths were 100% awesome for their horrible, nasty actions!!!!!!

The 4 Saint Beasts:Suzaku,Genbu,Byakko,& Seiryu/Gonzou Tarakane/Toguro/Sakyo/Sensui(Yu Yu Hakusho) - Their deaths were pretty cool, but both Suzaku, Byakko, Toguro, & Sakyo's deaths made me sad. Both Seiryu & Tarakane's deaths were well-deserved as much as I hated their nasty cruelty on others!!!!!

Starscream/Sideways/Thrust(Transformers:Animated) - Their deaths were pretty great, but Starscream's death made me cry so much due to his brave sacrifice, poor Alexis.

Commander Sazabi/General Zeong/Ashuramaru/Cobramaru(SD Gundam Force) - Their deaths were pretty awesome, but I'll miss them since they were great SD mech villains based on the originals in the classic Gundam series.

Commander Jigmar/Biff/The 3 Takunatsu Sisters/Unkei/Kyoji Mujo(S-cry-ed) - Their deaths were pretty great which Commander Jigmar & Biff's was emotionally sad, but Pink Afro Unkei's death was weird becoming a symbol to a sheet of paper. The rotten 3 Takunatsu Sisters & Kyoji's deaths were well-satisfying as much as I hated them!!!!!

Light Yagami/Demegawa/Misa/Higuchi/Kiyomi/Mikami(Death Note) - Both Misa & Mikami's suicidal deaths made me cry so much since they were great characters as much as feel sorry for them.Light Yagami & the others' deaths were very satisfying for their nasty murdering acts on innocent people especially the awesome L, Soichiro Yagami, & Mello, but I pity poor Kiyomi though on being Light's pawn. Both Near & Matsuda were awesome in the season finale for kicking Light's butt of course:D.

Prince Ali/Alejandro/Ribbons/Regene/Wang/Joshua/The Trinity Siblings:Johann,Michael,& Nena Trinity/The A-Laws:Arthur & Arba(Mobile Suit Gundam 00) - All of their deaths were so awesome which makes you wanna hate them for their nasty cruel actions on others. If you wanna know who Joshua is, he's the smug blonde jerk who looks like Graham in season 1 which I hated him when he's first introduced.

Director Heinemann/F. Rosenbach/Dr.Boyer(Monster) - In the second episode, I'm glad those heartless scumbag doctors died for treating poor Dr.Tenma like trash:mad:, but Eva's comeuppance was great as well.

Nobody does in a villain like Disney!

Scar: He betrays the hyenas, and they return the favor - with teeth. One of the strengths of The Lion King was that it seldom soft-pedaled predator behavior. In the tradition of Uncle Walt, kids were shown - via a tragic shadow-play - the penalty for bad behavior. A very satisfying end for a great villain.

Gaston: While I felt a bit of a pang for Scar - because he was no pampered macho-man, but a second-best aspirer to the throne, hence he did inspire some pity - I wanted to cheer when Gaston went tumbling to his death. He fought well, was defeated and then spared by the Beast, and what does he do? Stabs the Beast in the back. He deserved to get splatted like the insect he was.

Maleficent - now that is one villain death I hated to see, because I wanted to see more of that magnificent dragon in action. What a sinister, beautiful creature! Plus the fact that fairy magic, rather than the prince's efforts, did her in was kind of a cheat. That's the trouble with Sleeping Beauty, and the reason I don't own a copy - it's riddled with story problems because Walt found his attention monopolized by Disneyland. Too bad - not just the dragon, but everything in Sleeping Beauty is breathtakingly beautiful.

The rat - you know the one I mean. This was a relatively tiny battle compared with those in other Disney films, yet it was no less engrossing. Tramp and the rat were deadly serious, plus there was a helpless baby in the balance. True heroism and grit was revealed in man's best friend.

And those are my faves. I may add to the list once I get my copy of Snow White and see the Wicked Queen in action. (I've seen the film before, but it's been years. I need to refresh my memory before deciding whether she deserves to stand alongside the lion, the jerk, the dragon and the rat. Stay tuned... ;)

@ Radical:

First of all:
MIND THE SPOILERS! :p

Secondly:
I have a couple of minor points to bring up about your post.
I'm not sure that Ron killed Warmonga and Warhok. He seemed to have just kicked their butts.

I also don't recall actually seeing Misa die in the anime.
While it is somewhat suggestive that she was going to kill herself, it is still an inference.

No big deal though. I'm just saying. :)

But anyways, let me actually add something to the conversation.

Some great cartoon deaths:
Code Geass - Lelouch
Some may not consider him a villain, but I do (he technically didn't become good until after he died).
And in any case, what a beautiful death scene.
One of my favorite death scenes of all time.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - Lust
She died too soon, but at least her final scene rocked!

School Days - Makoto
Nice boat.

Trigun - Legato
The anime was good, but then that scene made it great.
Another favorite death scene of all time, definitely.

Great almost death:

Canaan - Alphonse
Had she not survived, Alphonse's death scene would have been among the greats.
But, they had to ruin it by having her survive in case they want to do a sequel.

Lots of Dragonball villians had great deaths, Goku punching right through Piccolo Daimao's chest, Vegeta kills Zarbon by punching his fist right through his stomach and blows him away with an energy blast from the inside, Frieza gets sliced to pieces by Trunks, Dr. Gero/Android 20 gets his head kicked off and curshed by Android 17, Babidi gets his head smash in by Fat Majin Buu, Cell and Kid Majin Buu get vaporized by giant energy attacks, Cooler in DBZ movie 5 and Broly in DBZ movie 10 get blow into the sun.

Agreed. Besides the ones you listed, I'll add:

Ursula (The Little Mermaid): Maleficent's death was great, but yeah, the fairy magic thing weighed it down a little. With Ursula, there was no magic, the prince just out-and-out impaled her by his own efforts. Lightning striking her as she died also added to the effect.

Frollo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame): He's standing on a stone gargoyle, raising his sword to Esmerelda and Quasimodo, and declares "AND HE SHALL SMITE THE WICKED AND SEND THEM PLUNGING INTO THE FIERY PIT!" Apparently, God heard his request and grants it...the gargoyle cracks and a screaming Frollo plunges into the molten lead pit below.

Clayton (Tarzan): Well, Tarzan has got Clayton tangled up in vines in the canopy. Tarzan tries to warn him, but the idiot won't listen, and as he cuts the vines to free himself, he cuts his only means of support. He falls a long way, until the vine around his neck tightens and hangs it. Freaking hangs him! I can't believe Disney got away with this one.

Ansem (Kingdom Hearts): A video game, not a movie, but still a great death. After going on and on in literatelly every scene he ever appeared in about "DARKNESS!", Ansem finally opens the door to Kingdom Hearts, where he thinks the greatest darkness of all lies behind. But Sora insists "No! Kingdom Hearts is light!" and, sure enough, rays of light come out and destroy Ansem, with his last words being "Light...but WHY?!" Very satisfying end there; not only was he killed, but he was proven wrong about his life's philosophy as well.

Frollo's death in The Hunchback of Notre Dame was probably the best in any Disney film. Especially the quote he gives just before (though right now, I can't recall it).

Absolutely LOVE those. Frollo's was a bit overdone, I think - the snarling gargoyle, eh, a bit too theatrical - but they're definitely some of the coolest endings. Frollo has the irony factor, and Clayton's is just brutal. I mean, the whole Tarzan movie was brutal from the start, but man...

I just mentioned it in my post: "AND HE SHALL SMITE THE WICKED AND SEND THEM PLUNGING INTO THE FIERY PIT!" And then he falls into a pit of molten lead. Cruel irony at it's finest (Well, cruel for Frollo at least. Everyone watching the movie loves it.)

Although we all assumed he survived, I thought Blight's death in Batman Beyond was pretty cool. He goes into full meltdown, makes the entire nuclear sub he's in explode from within. It blows apart and sinks until the light is all gone...

Mine has to be the weasels from Who Framed Roger Rabbit who laughs themselves to death or accidentaly fall into the dip because of Eddie's jokes. I particular like how the chain smoking weasel desperately tries to pull his fleeing soul back into his body.

There was also a Woody Woodpecker cartoon were he blew up Buzz Buzzard inside a oven. His clueless ghost emerges and Woody guides it to a pair of elevator doors. An angel pops out of it but Woody quickly closes it, shoves Buzz into the one with Satan in it instead and then bursts out in his signature laugh. Not sure what the title of the cartoon was but it was set in the wild west.
I love how in the old cartoons characters were not only allowed to kill, but even send the victim to hell.

True. Still, one who has to give some credit to Philip (I think that was his name); fairy magic or not, he was still prepared to face a dragon (with all the powers of Hell at her disposal) for the woman he loved. That's not as good as Eric who took Ursula out without any help at all, but it's better than nothing.

Back on-topic, I have to say that the death of Count Cagliostro in "Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro" is a particularly gruesome example:
After having pushed the heroes of the clock-tower, the Count climbs to the face of the clock and inserts the two rings that will reveal the treasure of the Cagliostro-families into the mouth of a small statue. Upon doing this, a mechanism is activated and the tower begins to shake. The Count manages to hold on to one of the clock's hand, but realises to late that the two hands have started to move towards each other...

A great and well-deserved demise for one of the few irredeemably evil villains Miyazaki ever created.

Oh, and while he does return, I've always thought that the first death of The Joker in "Return of The Joker" was quite good. "That's not funny, that's not funny at all..."

Add another vote for Frollo from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. One of the most (if not the most) powerful villain death in Disney. "And he shall smite the wicked..." Gets me every time.

Outside of Disney, my two other all-time favorite villain deaths are (in no particular order):

Fuhrer King Bradley from Full Metal Alchemist (anime). I mean, this was a guy who's not only (indirectly) caused countless deaths throughout the series--including attempted genocide of Ishball, and murdering Marta in cold blood. And as an added plus (minus?) he was virtually invincible! Until...
what irony that his own son would be the cause of his death!
And the instrumental Brothers theme that accompanied it made the scene all the more epic. One of my favorite villains to hate.

And then there was Grodd from Justice League Unlimited. I absolutely love the way Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor) delivered his lines before killing him.
Lex: "It could have gone the other way."
Grodd: "Yes, it really could have, couldn't it?"
Lex: "No, but why speak ill of the dead?"
And then Grodd's last words as he was sent hurling out into space were "Just you wait! I'll get out of this and when I do...!" THAT is how a good villain should die: refusing, flat out to believe that it's over, still scheming his next plot, even in the face of death, not giving up. Although, admittedly, what with comic book science and all, I guess it wouldn't be impossible for him to come back, but since this was the finale...

I'll add these villains who met their demise from the following animated series, dtv, etc.

Jafar ('Return of Jafar') In his Genie form, literally destroyed himself when his magical lamp fell into and was dissolved by the molten larva in his final confrontation with Aladdin.

Jax-Ur & Mala ('S:TAS') were killed when they were caught in the immense gravity well of a Black Hole.

Starscream from TF:TM, that was an awesome way to introduce how powerful the newly made Galvatron had much more power then when he was Megatron.

Teridax from Bionicle: Mask of Light, as much as I hate the match before Takanuva and Teridax combined to form Takutanuva, his sacrifice will be in vain.

And The Fallen from Revenge of the fallen would be on here if the movie was fully CG. But it won't, Instead I cannot think of any.
