greatest rock frontman in last 25 yrs

i understand the Clinton= funk rock logic and wont get into James Brown making the list cuz i can see where he fits in too, and i even said i accepted Clinton being on the list, but the question i was asking was how Marley can make the list and not Cash?

i would judge by the stamp they left on rock n' roll. little richard left no stamp. many others have and you wanna give him a hall pass for what? your a joke and you kneed to listen to your rock n' roll and stop whatching your shows

Well lets see how this whole thing started, oh yeah, it started because you attacked my list and said it sucked and was a disgrace to rock n roll, and i considered that a insult directed towarRAB me because that wasn't just some random list i made for the hell of it, i actualy put some thought into it, wheres your list buddy?, i haven't even been that agressive with you, i point out the stupid crap you say and try to remain civil on the matter, i haven't been calling you by any harsh insults, but you didn't hesitate to say **** you to me despite how uncalled for that would be now did you?, and saying Little Richard wasn't a pioneer of rock n roll is in itself a insult to little richard and rock n roll.

PS.And if you still doubt my devotion to all things Zeppelin, just look at my location. =)

I own all of zeppelins studio albums, heard a good deal of their live work and more some, i actualy prefer them to richard, hell im not really much of little richard fan at all, but im being objective here, you are not, you have given no reason for plant to be above richard, i would still like to hear one, and because hes in led freakin zeppelin just isn't going to cut it.

Because Country isn't a subgenre to rock, Funk and Reggae has its roots in Rock N Roll and R&B music, reggae and funk aren't any less rock than metal or prog in my opinion...I mean, can you really imagine someone putting putting Genesis in the same catagory as Buddy Holly?, or Pantera in the same catagory as Chuck Berry?, but those are still styles of rock right?, i hope you get my point.

PS.Speaking of chuck berry, im beginning to think that leaving him off was a bad idea, i probably will update it again. =(

great observations jr - another killer frontman that barely qualifies for the 25 year window is Peter Wolf from the J. Geils Band. Great performer.

The reason i didn't add cash is because its a rock list and i consider cash country, though cash has also been classified as a rock n roll artist so he possibly could qualify, i will also consider the others you mentioned, anyone else you think i should add?

I completly understand what your saying, only thing i dont think i fully agree on is reggae being a subgenre of rock. they may have the same roots, but i dont think reggaes roots are rock. but with that analogy, id have to agree with misfits when he said something about all music eventually ending up with one main root, so how far back are you going?( i was under the impression that this thread was rock and subgenres of rock, not rock and genres that share the same roots. id put reggae and rock on separate branches of the same tree and not as differant twigs on the same branch, same would go for country.

Sorry. You have no idea about music. The Madcap would spin in his grave to be considered in the same breath as Collins, let alone be confused with him.

As for thinking one of the most accomplished guitarists, composer, arranger, technician, producer & artist of Xenochrony who ever lived was one and the same as the unsung musical & artistic genius of Don van Vliet... Hell! May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits... now, I shall put on my copy of Electric Ladyland by that Bob Marley chap and ignore you.
