Greatest Current Rock Band

Foo Fighters don't go under "recent" rock banRAB.

Still though, it's sad that a band like Chevelle or TRUSTcompany could ever be considered the best rock band. It's just fucking sad.
 
ok dude. you are looking way too far into this and not really achieving anything. im sure theres a ton more people that could argue it the other way, that afi is god and atdi is teh suck. i could care less. i like both banRAB for what they are. can we just leave it at that?
 
Just finished listening to the CD with "The red" on it.

Also, my new favorite is CKY.

First 2 cRAB fucking ROCKED. i've tried listening to the 3rd cd twice now, but just dont like it.
 
Foo Fighters, Weezer, Audioslave, Chevelle, 311 are probably the biggest rock (in a broad sense) banRAB out right now.

Rock is kinda in a slump right now... not many huge rock banRAB out right now, mostly a lot of banRAB that have 1 or 2 songs and that's it.
 
I'm talking about relatively new banRAB (so, Aerosmith and Metallica don't count, they suck anyway) that rock out hardcore. What is the best and/or hardest rocking band currently? My vote goes to Queens of the Stone Age, once you've seen them in concert there's no way you can disagree. Dazzle me with replies, see if I can't get some new suggestions for awesome new groups.
 
Why wouldn't the Foo Fighters go under recent rock banRAB? As far as I'm aware, they haven't broken up. Sure they haven't really released anything in a year or so, but they are still a band even though they are taking some time off. Its not like someone said Led Zepplin or the Beatles or something.
 
Audioslave and Chevelle haven't been around that long compared with the Foo Fighters. By "recent" I assumed he was talking about the date the band formed.
 
at their own game? no....

in flames is melodic metal(gothenburg style) and anders' voice just keeps getting better and better. amon amarth is more death metal with no melodic vocals. in flames' stuff is just better written and a step above amon amarth.
 
The White Stripes is the best rock band currently putting out music. Jack White is probably one of the most talented musicians to be playing right now and they are creative as hell.
