Until now I've kept well away from their nest box to make sure they feel safe, but recently (2 plus weeks have passed) the nestlings seemed to be quieter and called less frequently. Is this normal? I think they are ready to get out of the nest soon.
Also, I wonder what would happen should one of the nestlings die in the nest, the adult birds could not move it or could they? Should I check the nest when the adult birds are away to make sure all the young birds are doing well? Or just leave it up to nature and clean the nest after they've gone?
