Great tip for front fender rail removal

I had to remove one on my new 2010 FLHR.

Took an old 3/8 1/4" drive socket, drilled 3/16" holes through one end (twice so there are 4 holes radially) then use a 16penny framing nail (rounded at the sharp end) for the leverage (replaces the socket driver) worked like a charm. Clears the lower flange on the fender rail no problem.

It's now in the tool box for future use.

I guess I am old fashioned, but I added the front bumper to my bike. I think it looks far better with it than off, but thats just me. I removed the front wheel to do the install and got it done properly with new lock tabs bent in place correctly.
