To all those lovely people who helped me through all the worry and stress these past two weeks thinking i was having another miscarriage due to the sharp pains and not 'feeling' pregnant... THANK YOU!!! for your wonderful advice and support.
I went in for my early assessment scan yesterday afternoon and though the baby was measuring smaller than they expected - 6 weeks (5mm) - we saw the most wonderful thing in the world - A HEARTBEAT!!!
I was jumping for joy and my partner Lee was grinning from ear to ear, we are over the moon happy and i feel much better and secure now ive seen that little heartbeat in our tiny 'bean' hehehe.
The nurse couldnt find a reason for my pains so has put it down to growing pains and asked us to go back for a follow up scan in 2 weeks (instead of waiting for the 12 week dating scan) to check the baby is still growing strong and to try to work out a due date.
SO HAPPY!!! cant stop grinning!!!
Im not too concerned the baby is small though - I am only 5ft1 and my partner is 5ft7... PLUS.. according to my mum the doctors had concerns about my tiny bod and pea head all the way through her pregnancy and i was absolutely fine and in proporition when i was born.
God i am so excited now!!! Happy days!!!
