Billy Corgan probably belongs here.

I think Ike Turner pretty much takes the cake on this one. He was truly a brilliant musician and one of rock's early innovators but that tenRAB to get overshadowed by the fact that he was also a wife-beating bastard.

How 'bout a thread entitled "****ty musicians who are really nice guys"? #1: SljSlj.
I was gonna say the Nickelback guy (for this thread), but I guess Urban already went over that.

Not strictly true.
Bolan used to write poetry that he would read out during John Peel's show. Once T Rex became huge Bolan simply didn't have time to do it anymore and Peel took it as a personal insult having had the same thing happen to him with Rod Stewart around the same time. Peel actually went as far as to rubbish some of Bolan's singles when they were released because he was never comfortable with Bolan's new rockier direction. After that Peel decided not to let personal frienRABhips get in the way of business.
If you read Peel's autobiography he admits himself that the falling out between them came from both sides.

I give Aguilera and Mariah props for their vocal abilities...Madonna gets it for her producing/lyrical/reinventing/performance abilities.

This is kind of ****ed up.

"Axl Rose has responded to an offer by soft drink company Dr Pepper in which they promised a free can of their drink to every American - except Slash and Buckethead - if the band releases their 'Chinese Democracy' album this year."

Dunno if this was brought up, but during the early 90s he and jimmy did MOST of the recordings for gish and siamese dream not allowing darcy and james to record.

They went to record a Peel session and then pulled out because they didn't think the sound quality was good enough. Peel was pissed because he was the first to play The 101'ers and never invited them back.
