My boyfriend's family are having a big family reunion sort of party on Saturday, where family and close friends come by. Last year, we were only just dating, so I didn't go, but this year not only am I invited but I'm all anyone is talking about. I'm a serious girlfriend, so they're all going to want to meet me and make opinions and stuff. Oh joy.
Now, everyone's bringing a dish and my mother, who is a fantastic cook, is out of town. So I'd like to make something the lots of people would like, turns out good, and isn't terribly difficult. I'd rather not buy something because that's like a cop out. I'm willing to try something that's time consuming, but I'm no top chef.
Any suggestions are wonderful. Thanks.
