Anji, if you go into watching the 2nd movie without any expectations you might like it. :)

I first saw this movie seriously at the movies. I was 7 when it came out and my cousin, who was 12 took me, well along with our parents. We stopped at this store at a shopping center, bought the album and played it non-stop for months. My cousin was seriously obsessed with "Hopelessly Devoted To You" for a lifetime. It's probably still one of her fave songs. I got so sick of it because I heard it so much, but she was in love with this boy named Michael and would play it all the time. :lol:

Love Love Love this movie. One of my fave movies ever! My faves are Rizzo and Danny, with Kenicke following.

My fave line from this movie is:

Kenicke: A hickie from Kenickie is like a Hallmark Card. We only care enough to give the very best.

And then he takes a bite of his burger. :lol:

Love it!!!!

I really want that new edition of the movie. I have just a plain version, not even the double disk, so it would be worth it to me to buy it. :)

Fave song: We Go Together, Beauty School Dropout and Sandy (the song he sings at the drivein)

Crazy tidbit about this movie. When I was in labor with my first daughter, I was drugged up a bit and my cousin (different one) was in teh room with me and later, I was told I just grabbed her arm and said "That's not how it goes" and I started singing "We Go Together." True story. Everyone in my family just dies laughing when she re-tells that story.
 
Grease is 1 of my favorite musical movies. I just love John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John in it.

My favourite musicalnumber is (I think) "At the Drive-In". The song is a little bit smoochy, but I like how he wants to be with her even in the future "Maybe, someday when High-school is done, somehow, someway our two worlds will be one". Isn't that sooo cute?

I always used dressed up as the pink ladies, and me and my friends always quoted lines from grease when we were like 8 years old.

I was in Stockholm (I live in Gothenburg) a couple of days ago, and i found a MAD magazine from 1979 and they had a parody of Grease in it! The parody wasn't that good, but of course I bought it! I'm trying to be a Grease-collector but everything is so expensive, so it's not that easy!!

Okey, favourite scene in Grease? Or maybe we already discussed that? Hmm, okey, favourite line in Grease??
 
Probably one of the greatest movies!!!! I know all the lyrics by heart, I'm a huge fan of grease!!!!!!!!:)

Australian TV turns 50 tonight :yay:
I'm going to watch it, I'm pretty sure Grease will be part of the 50th birthday :D like showing movies/tv/music/ and news
 
This was just ending on TV today, so I missed it, and didn't have time to watch it on DVD.
 
I loved how they thought they had to change who they were to be with the other, but then came to find, they didn't even have to do that.
