Grease 2

Yeah it was supposed to be a trilogy and a Grease 3 was planned but because this bombed it never happened. Its a shame really, im not sure why Grease 2 bombed so badly? Its not THAT bad, it has a 'so bad its good' quality about it.
 
I'm glad i'm not the only one! I watched this from when i was really young so as soon as I saw Ronnie in EE i was like :eek: it's Stephanie! I only think that she looks like Stephanie though, not Michelle Pfeiffer in general :p
 
Wasn't it up against ET and ET got better marketing. I'm sure I read that was one of the reason it bombed so bad personally I never thought it was that bad while nowhere near as good as the first one I think it was an ok film
 
Yeah, it's a real shame. Stand-alone, Grease 2 is great but it had big shoes to fill, it being the sequel to one of the most popular musicals of it's generation (and others after it). The "Oh it's not a patch on the first one!" comments it always receives are justified in that context but if people judged it on it's own merits then I think they would appreciate it more. I liked it!
 
Grease 2 bombed but it was a guilty pleasure of mine as a young boy. I feel really sorry for maxwell caulfield who got the lead male role in the movie. He battled against thousanRAB of actors to land that role which was meant to launch him as a big star and the film effectively killed his career.

Such a hanRABome bloke with a great opportunity and it was all wiped out because grease 2 made no money.
 
My next plan is to lure a guy into an air raid shelter and start saying "Let's Do It For Our Country". Just need to find a bloody shelter first! And a guy!

I remember my sisters had the soundtracks to Grease and Grease 2 on cassette and whenever they got the chance with their frienRAB they listened to the songs and made up their own dance routines for them. I'd sit and watch and sometimes laugh, but I did enjoy watching them make fools of themselves just as much as I liked listening to the songs. No wonder I turned out a poof! :D:D
