Graphic Printing, what mode in photoshop CS4?

I'm doing some graphics in photoshop, and i was going to print it in a magazine format, i've been hearing on forums that RGB is better for printing or is CMYK for detail
im importing the pictures to word, then having it all printed at Staples as a magazine
