brochures printed!? I have a client who needs to get brochures printed, but I'm not sure where to start. Would I have to order paper stocks from someone and get it printed at some print shop??

Also, I need a better clarifications on the maximum colors that's needed to get your brochures printed. (CMYK and limited to 4 colors?)

Thank you so much.

It depends on the level of quality you're seeking.

If you want a special paper to print on (e.g. cardboard, textured, etc.), or a high quality print, you'll have to find a specialised printer and talk to them about it. It will be more expensive, but usually you get a high quality product.

If you want normal paper, go to a regular print shop (e.g. Officeworks in Australia), which is much cheaper and faster (although not as good quality). They'll have a small selection of basic paperstock of varying GSMs. They're good for large quantities and when you need things quickly.

Ask the printer you're planning to use about the type of file they need, including the colours.

To be honest I never have to worry about 'maximum colours', I just export whatever file I'm using in CMYK (not RGB, as RGB is for screen colours). Make sure to ask the printer before sending any files, and you should be fine.

Hope this helps a little!
