I have to do a lab report on a lab i was supposed to do in my biology class on gram staining and i need a litle help. the labs directions were to take a cotton swab and take a bacterial specimen off of your hands once before you wash, once just rinsed, once imeadiate post wash, and once 5 minutes post wash, and put them in a petri dish.
This is where it gets tricky....
we had to do a gram stain (??????) and find out what type of bacteria would be on our hands most likely and have to record the results of the gram stain in a lab report.
Could anywon help me understand what a gram stain is, what the results may be, and what type of bacteria it could be =)
