Grades...

So yeah, I'm failing my Business class. The teacher is a total dick though. I will take credit for my missing assignments, but it was partially his fault, too.

He doesn't hand ANYTHING back, so we can never learn from our mistakes. He doesn't inform you of your grades in ANY WAY, other than online.

And I specifically told my mom a NUMBER OF TIMES to "Get an account online so I can find out what I'm missing and stuff." But nope, she has to be a lazy bitch, and not do it. Now she's like "You never told me to get an account" and refuses to believe that I did.

I will take credit for my missing assignments, I should've done those. This same thing happened last semester, too, and I fixed my grades after I made him give me a print-out of all the assignments, homework, and tests that I'm missing. I ended up getting a B in that class, after raising it up from a 40-something percent.

Furthermore, as a little side-problem...I was supposed to hang out with people tomorrow and play Wii, but that might not happen cause of my grades.

And I'd feel bad if the whole thing got called off cause of me. :thumbsdn:

Jug--You are not an idiot. You have absolutely no excuse for failing anything. You knew when the assignments were due, you could have done them.

Wow, you mirror me almost exactly in Recordkeeping with the exception of the fact that I know assignments are due, I just decided to blow this quarter off after a rocky start. I am now down to a 27.6% in that class. It's really hard to pass classes when the teacher is a total douche bag 99% of the time..

Look at it from the teachers perspective....

first off, regardless of what grade you are getting, you have a resonsibility to complete your work. It is not the teachers responsibility. You know that homework and projects count towards your grade.

Secondly, standing in front of a bunch of kids who don't give a shit about anything you have to say for 7 hours a day is frustrating. Kids today don't care about thier teachers as people, and yet you all expect them to coddle you. Back in the old days, they would hit you with sticks. I think they should bring that back, then you guys wouldn't be failing.

You guys are old enough to post on a message board, to go party with your friends, and mature enough to take some personal responsibility towards your grades and your life.

Obviously it is nice to have constant motivational updates on your success (or lack thereof) in class, However, in the real world, your manager or boss is not going to give you a gold star everytime you do your job right. They will give you shit for doing it wrong tho.

My brother seems to be having the same problem with all of his classes. AKA he's failing all of them. Except for Pe, nobody fails PE.
His problem is that he never does his assignments, and when he does, he never turns them in. When his teachers put assignments on the internet, he never checks, and then blames our parents for turning off his internet.
It's really silly, actually.
Just talk to the teacher after class. I'm sure that he will want to help you get better grades, because the grades of his students reflect how good of a teacher he is.

Whether the teacher sucks or not... it's your fault for failing your class. In fact, it would still be your fault for failing your class even if your teacher never came to the class in the first place.

If you were truly determined to pass your class, you would have never bothered about the teacher. You should be having books at your disposal. You also have a brain at your disposal. Use them.

Grades... you should have fair idea of how you wrote the test right?

Yea dude if you want to excel in anything you should work hard if you have an F or A.. Assuming your in college you want to learn all that stuff it is important. Go to the library or i guess keep trying to view your grades if thats all that keeps your grades up is knowing them. I don't know my grades but I just found out I have a 3.82.... I'm sure you have the potential.
