Grade my first written poem?

[Paramore Riot!]

its my first time doing one and well i have to present it...please comment!

People say life is beautiful
Throughout life we face difficult obstacles
Sometimes you feel like giving up at certain points of your life
Hope is like the shining light of our lives that's providing us opportunities
The only reason why we have our heads up high
Life is Beautiful
Life isn't a dream, but a reality
People don't want to accept the reality, physical pain, and failure
At one point you try to convince yourself mentally that there is no pain behind this
Life isn't just in colors, but in black and gray
Its time you wake up and snap out of this sweet dreams and see the reality around you
So do you truly believe that life is beautiful?
Answer me! -Is life still beautiful?
Life is beautiful, like an image that can be decode after all...

several people told me it sounds like an emo poem!!!

well poetry isn't for everyone. If you like doing it then fine go ahead but i found it generic, boring, depressing, very dramatic and emo..but I already had an idea it would be since you listen to paramore.

sorry... your poem isn't sad at all. if you added more meaningful words then it woud've been better. Overall, it's quite a good first written poem!
