GPS Software for s60v3 comparison?

If you get the TomTom6 on DVD do you just copy the maps to your existing 2GB card? Is it that simple or do they have some other way to load the data? Just didn't know if there was any reason to buy it with the card or just get the DVD version. I need a 2GB card anyway, but didn't want to end up with 2.
 
i have the LD-3W for a month now sitting just doing nothing has i have yet to decide which software to buy wayfinder or tom tom......it looks good and is pretty light so hopefully will work well as well.
 
If anyone has a Best Buy near them, I found a great vent mount that fits perfectly. Both arms adjust and have thick foam padding. Also the plastic on the bottom has more than enough space for the charger and/or audio connector. I'll try to remember to check the brand later. I think it might have been $10 or $15...



Can't go wrong with the Nokia LD-3W. I use it and love it. Connects very fast. Just don't buy it from Nokia as they charge WELL over double the price of any reputable online shop.

The one thing I've notice dabout smart2go is that its business search really stinks. I have about a 30% hit rate when I search for a business by name...compared to a nearly 100% hit rate with google maps. They should really strike some sort of deal with google, right now it looks like the standard operating mode is going to be look up the business on google maps and then plug the address into smart2go.
 
smart2go beta is better in terms of integrating your contacts, but when trying to find places of interest it fell short (here in cali). I assume its because its a beta but as for now i will stick with tom tom 6.
 
RC, Thanks for the Proxy thing, that did it... but the user interface is a bit clunky, though can't complain because it's free. I am very tempted to get TomTom, though I am not too fond of the 1.2G usage on the memory card, especially on the N80.

- Clear turn by turn directions (on-screen and spoken)
- Ability to use celebrity voices (homer simpson, ozzy, darth vader, etc..hehe..)

Have to agree that the Holux 236 is a top piece of hardware. I d?n't even take it out of my pocket. Been using Nav4all for 6 months with my w800 and now my N80. Tomtom announced yesterday they will release ver.6 for S60v.3 in September so I will try that.
 
ok route66 is pretty good. i love how fast the maps move and i can still recieve calls while its on. until i see tomtom i wold recommend it over all others
 
I have zero problems with my LD-1W, now that I have bluetooth fixed on my N73. Been switching back and forth between Wayfinder and Nav4All. TomTom is just too freakin big, imo, the cracked version is freakin 1.2GB, I don't wanna tie up most of my memory card with just GPS. I like Wayfinder and Nav4All cause they use data to download the maps en route.

Wayfinder's WAY better, but also $100, while Nav4All is free, so we'll see.
