Got to play with an iPod Touch today.

Went to the 5th avenue Apple store in NYC and they had a bunch of iPod Touch units on display. I got to play around with it and did a side by side comparison to my iPhone.

The iPod touch is sleek, thin, and light. Much like the iPod Nano, the light feel almost makes it feel cheap. That may just be me. I specifically looked for differences in screen quality. I was definitely able to tell the difference in picture quality between the iPhone and iPod Touch, but it wasn't major.

The iPod Touch definitely looks good, just not as good as the iPhone. Still a very nice unit though
 
yeah, I was in the bellevue store today, might as well just get a iphone. but the 8/16gb options are nice 4 is just a joke on the iphone.
 
I just canceled an order for a 16gig.
I hate how many ppl just suggest that i get an iphone.
I think i'd be paying for a few more features that i really wouldn't take advantage of.
If i really wanted an iphone i would have bought it sooner.

I well defiantly hope on one if they replace that model screens later.
 
if the iphone hadn't dropped in price it would be different, but its hard to justify the touch if you have the option of getting an iphone
 
Your logic is flawed. Buying one sooner would be dumb because they are cheaper now. People are suggesting it so much because the iphone has everything the touch has for similar price.
 
Price isn't a deciding factor, i canceled an order for 16 gig which is the same price as an iphone.
If i thought the iphone was so great i would have ordered one as soon as it came out, (i was tempted for about 5 minutes) Which i did with the itouch.
i really really wanted one, i thought it would be great it can play videos, browse the internet and plays music.
But if the screen can't do blacks well, it kinda spays it, leaving only a ipod that can surf the net .
 
Well I'm pretty sure the screen issue is just a bad batch. Some people say it looks crappy, some people say it looks really crappy, and some people aren't having any problems at all.
 
I have an 8 and the screen is just fine... the people who tell me to get an iphone are idiots... ok i have sprint that won't really benefit me... yeah they are unlocked until the next software update great! but still I dont want something thats bigger and 100 dollars more that will be a brick next update
