Got new pipe for S40

This thing is really loud! I didn't get to ride it out yet, but I will in the mornig. It is a Jardine, and the only thing I could find for this bike. I'll keep you posted on how it does.

Not sure I'm going to like the new pipe. It's loud (as I already stated), but that's ok. It doesn't have a deep tone, but after all it is a 650. That I can deal with. After only 60 miles, the front part of the muffler is starting to change colors like it's getting to hot. I E-mailed Jardine, but haven't received a response. Does anyone know what might cause this problem?

Did you re-jet the carb?

No, the papers said it wasn't required. I think it might be a cheaper quality material than the original exhaust.

you should re-jet and pull the brass plug and adjusted air mixture you are running lean. these bike run lean from the factory to pass emissions and for fuel economy

Will this pipe clean up, or will it always have discoloration?

yes with blu-away,blue buster, or blue job and alot of elbow grease then you can buy some protectant from kreem at 21.99 or dyno coat for 39.99 that is some good stuff
