Got My New Airstrike Wheel On.

I got my new Airstrike wheel mounted tonight. This wheel is not suppose to fit the 07 and older bikes and I found out why.
Harley redesigned the bearing pockets to work with the newer 25MM bearings, the LS well is shallower and the RH side is way deeper (I'm guessing it has something to do with ABS).
Anyway I got it to work just fine with 1" bearings, I just had to build a new set of axle spacers including the one between the bearings to get everything centered up and work right, so I would have to say if you want this or any wheel that Harley lists for only 08 or newer you better plan on buying ever spacer and an 08 or newer axle or you are going to have to manufacture everything like I did.
It did work OK with my lowered fender but I did have to raise it a 1/4".
I must say it was worth the extra work I went to, it sure does look nice, gave the bike a real attitude adjustment.
 
Looks good! What rear wheel are you running?

I had thought about getting that wheel for my 07 SG and getting the stock rear chromed.
 
Here is another picture, I got the rear wheel change today, it is an old chrome RK Custom wheel I had out in the shed. My ultimate plan is to someday find a stock rear RG wheel and have it chrome plated to match the front, as for now you can hardly tell the difference in the front and rear rim unless you look close.
I took it out for a ride tonight the 18" wheel with the 140 tire rides and handles almost exactly like the 16" did.
