I went to the reg. dr today - making appt with neuro this week. Curious to see what you guys think , you seem very knowledgeable about this stuff.
Loss of signal from disc L4-L5 compatible with Degen. Disc Desiccation or trauma. Posterior protruaion at L4-L5 extenRAB from midline slightly more to right than left. Posterior disc protrusion at L4-L5 creates some minimal narrowing of both neural foramina at that level.
No other abnormal loss of disc signal and no other protrusion, no fracture or spondy. no abnormal vertebral bodies or nerve roots.
The summary says: There is a protrusion at L4-L5 which is present in the midline and which extenRAB into both the right and left rlateral recess. It creates some minimal narrowing of the left neural foramina and moderate of the right.
Th report says I had a trauma recently and I haven't I had mentioned to the dr that 20 years ago I fell off a slide and they wrote I caught a child that had fallen on a slide. So Does that mean this is caused by DDD and if so is that significant? She said she thought it was not common to have protrusion on both sides that it is usually one or the other. And it fits right with my symptoms. Right big toe and left second toe loss of feeling.
