The activation fee is not for the phone. It is for the voice service which is activated with a SIM card regardless as to what phone you use. You should make sure that that you have features to cover usage instead of pay per use.
yeah, completely understand..But the question still remains why I was not informed at the store that this charge will occur.
Look , I am not an expert as you are or many on this board, at&t must know that I am not a professional cell phone costumer, it is a brandnew account and I believe there should be a little help from at&t and let's say this "that customer could have set up the account completely different in order to save him/her at least 40 to 50% money"..I am the little guy here and they are the big corporation ,I am sure it wont hurt them to help me out with a courtesy credit, in fact it would show that this company really cares for their customers..
I don't know if this all this makes sense but honestly , how would you react with ta first bill of over $300 ???
