I read this thing online (how to trick pedophiles into buying you things for World of Warcraft or whatever) and thought it would be funny just to go on and mess around with people. So me and my friend go on this chat room called "Chat-Avenue" and start posting stuff like "Looking for sugardaddy to help me buy something my cheapskate parents wont!" (pretty much ripped off of the guide exactly)
So me and a freind do that a few times and some creeps add me to MSN and I mess around with them, and they ask me to move to England and all kinds of weird stuff. Then we go on again and post it a few more times, and then get banned. Followed by a "We have your IP, we will report you if necessary." message.
Was what we did illegal in any way? Are they actually going to take action on this? We're kind of sketched out right now but we don't think what we did was illegal, maybe morally wrong messing around with these people but they deserve it.
Thanks ex0, and about the profiting thing, we're not literally going to take any of these pedo's money for a few reasons, one being I would have to give them my address and all that, and second that's plain wrong. We're basically using the whole "buy me x" as a way to get them to think we're a silly little girl.
