got a pink slip court summons for New York City Criminal Court?

I got a pink slip court summons for New York City Criminal Court for Reckless Driving Traffic Violation for October 15 2009. I am not from New York, I live in San Mateo, California. I did send a letter to judge pleading guilty. There has been no reply.


Should I wait until Oct 15 2009 for the reply or should I go to New York to appear in the court? What should I do?
