Leslie, that is great news! Even if it means going out of network, this guy could be worth every penny and THE ANSWER. I did this with my surgeon! He was worth it. IF you can't get it covered "in-network", see if this guy is willing to take you on with what your out of network will pay, or on a discounted rate. It never hurts to ask.

My surgeon wrote off almost $4,000 off my bill. He came in, said my insurance paid a great deal, I had paid quite a bit out of my own pocket and so he wrote the rest off.

I have my fingers crossed for you on this!:D
 
Hey Lisa...gosh, life can be difficult sometimes...it confuses the heck out of me...some days I just want to keep moviing...and others I just crash. I guess the moon is in a really weird phase. Had the knee done last Friday...geez...they were afraid to give me some of the meRAB...cause I have problems with them....this has not been a good thing...they didn't give me any of the lidocaine for nurabing the knee for right after the surgery...yikes!! You hear of people walking out...NOT ME...could not have crawled, but could not get there...awful. Will have a little discusion with the ortho. about that.

I called Dr. G/S's office regarding the injection for the SI joint...they are doing the block. I have had that...in Feb with my PM Dr....it worked wonderfully...guess they want to do it again.. BUT, then again...the nurse who I spoke with said...the Dr. will speak with me, then decide what he wants to do. I go on 4/22...l was told that I have an appt. with PT at 9:30...Dr. at 10"30...then injection at the hospital at 2:30..then back to Dr. after the inj. I just hope that he will have all of this figured out by that time...This is my last hope.... My neuro. is so impressed with Dr. G/S...he just can't believe I was given his name on a webb site!! Ha...they really should get out in the real world once in a while. Thank you again, and again, and again..for giving me his name... How is your friend doing??? Take care...my brain is not working well today..have to go and rest...

Wonderful news! It is so great to hear the excitement in your "voice" !! I pray that this doctor will be the answer to your prayers!! With everything falling into place the way it has, that has to be a good sign. Let us know when your appt is. Yea!:bouncing:

awww Lisa, you can post on my post any day of the week. Thrilled that you could walk the 2 miles...Wonderful...(did it hurt later???? yikes) The ice cream will get you everytime...dreadful stuff...(isn't it a major food group?? In my house it is!! Love the stuff...makes my day...and makes me smile..as long as I know what is causing the cholest. to rise...well...I'll cut it out before the blood tests!!)...yup...you described the pain I have exactly..so sorry that you could do that....awww again. Can't wait to see Dr. G/S...I really wonder how they expect me to go to PT before my visit with him!! That should be interesting...the knee is on the same side!! (and that sucker is a major ache)..I'd love to share him with you...after all...you found him for me...what a wonderful friend. I can't believe that they do all of that stuff on the first visit day>>> PT..Dr. Appt...injection...and another visit to the Dr...wow..how very organized. FIX ME is what my body is screaming...Please.
I do understand about going back to work..HOW is my major thought process...how does one sit all day?? or walk large amts. of spaces many times during the day??? HOW?? I do understand the thought process...you are less apt. to become depressed if out in the WORLD..ok...but how does one stay there when one wants to lay down??? Your husband is actually being sweet..he wants his world back in order...reality is not a good thing sometimes. Take care..
