Got a much cheaper bill for telus by threatening to canceland now...im worried..?

So I was originally going to switch my home phone/internet provider to rogers for $55/month but when I called Telus to cancel, they told me that they would change my bill to $41 plus tax / month if I stayed, for all the services I currently have. Usually I pay $75/month so this seems awfully cheaper, does anyone know if I might possibly be getting tricked into staying or something?
 
nah your gold. Usually they do that to compete with the other providers to keep people who are not on a contract to keep staying with telus. I did that a ton of times with my internet. I told rogers it was to high and im going with bell. He gave me internet and a mobile plan for 60. I save like 30 bux a month on mobile...which i pay 50 for my monthly internet. It's all just a price war.

If you want to make sure your bill is going to be 41+tax... call them up and confirm, and if it hasnt changed tell em your gonna switch because youve been lied to...
