got a contract with virgin media now they trying to change it can they do this?

The contract is for a bill we have been paying for years its a £9.50 discount that they say shouldnt be on there.. But we signed this contract which lasts another 8 months with the discount on it this is there mistake they dont want the money back dated but say we now need to pay another £9.50 on the bill can they do this even though its in the contract that we should be getting this discount..
 
If it is in your contract then I don't see how they can. I would write to them saying that the discount is in your contract and you have the right to keep it, otherwise you will consider the contact invalid and you will terminate it.
