got 2 questions,got a 95 dodge van,it idles and wont start quick?

every time i get in to start it, it takes awhile to start. has new plugs and wires. what can i do? next is that when it starts it idles for about 4 seconds and goes back to its rpm.then it idles up again and it keeps doing it till i put it in drive. it does that only when is on park, the idle goes up n down. what can i do?

maybe the fuel injectors are going bad. try putting gas treatment and fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank the next time you fill up.

Possibly the idle control motor/valve........

Probably need to replace the throttle positioning switch for the idle problem. It could also be a vacuum line. The starting problem could be
several things such as your timing, fuel pump, coil, injectors etc.
