Has anyone used the GoPro moto mount camera? What is the quality of pic? What lense have you used (54 or 170 degree)? How are the different mounts (bar, helmet, tank...)?

Any other feedback would be appreciated!

Funny you should ask I just gave mine a try today on my bike ... only previously in my truck on day just to get the idea of it. I got the Motorsports Hero Wide. Comes with multiple attachments large suction cup that is on pivoting arm, several attachments that use 3m tape ( probably place on my old helment ) two of these are flat and two are curved. I'll try and post some videos.

Thanks Miller. I am a little concerned how the picture will turn out with the wide angle (170 degree) lense. It has a tendenacy to make any objects on the outside of the frame look bent or rounded. I use a wide angle when I shoot video during sky diving but there is nothing around us so the pic turns out better than a standard lense would.

Looking forward to watching the vids you post.

You can look at GoPro's website... and search GoPro on this forum as well. Can't rememeber who but someone else has been posting some videos. I'm still attempting to figure it out... doesn't seem to want to save to my ducatispot album

I have one of these cameras...and have had issues with it from the start. Right now it's on it's way to the manufacturer for warranty (I hope). Mine wont stay on. Shuts off all the time. The company wants to make it about the battery. But, I've tried all kinds of batteries. Nimh's and brand new alkalines. Sure, I know the best is LiPo...but this thing will shut off in under a minute. Hardly a battery issue. Very frustrating too. I've got a couple friends that are happy with theirs. But they are quite a bit more sedate with their cameras. I've put mine on my kneeboard and flipped with it, put it on my sky ski and flew around with it, flipped it, crashed it hard....mounted it on my helmet for mountain trail rides, and most recently....mounted it on my ice bike. It's always been sketchy at best, but at this point it wont stay on.

It's been a real source of frustration. Everytime I've used it (except the first) I sit down to the computer and wonder "how much (if any) did it capture this time". Hopefully, they'll repair it or replace it. I just don't have much faith in that camera right now. Starting to look at the more expensive alternatives.

Thanks zman! If you know anyone else on the forum that might have feed back see if they'd post something.

I will probably be more conservative with mine. I'll only use it for riding. Might test it out sky diving once just to see how it holds up.

I'm Very happy with mine. Have tons of videos with it on the 848. I had probs with mine shutting off, but it was do to battery life. Once I got new bats, it worked fine. The only problem I've been having is making the video files small enough to post on to youtube or to email to friends.

Like I said, I have tons of footage, I just need to edit it and post....I'll keep you guys posted..

GREAT CAMERA!!!!

you know zman... i've now noticed i've lost some of my footage, of course this was after a stopped and restarted... I might have not restarted it right. I just noticed yesterday it cuts complete off very quickly if I have it paused at that moment and am not recording.

Really? I've never had that problem either....But, It is a bitch to set it up for anything other than video, IMO...But, like I said, I love it, all I do is shoot video and download it to my cpu, nothing else....Not really a fan of the 170 degree photos it produces either...

not a good video, just an example of how it looks....
