Google One vs. Apple iPhone 3G [S] (was: Time To Step Up Apple)

It depends on your uses. For me, I primarily use my phone for phone calls, watching videos, web browsing, and surfing the web. I have no need for the iPhone App store. The Nexus One has a lovely AMOLED screen of 3.7". If you're like me, go for the Nexus One. Though, I would first look in your area if 3G coverage is available. People say that Tmobile's 3G coverage isn't very good. That's true, but it works when there is coverage, and most people don't travel nationwide. So, if there is 3G coverage in your area, I'd definetly get it.

i am using an unlocked iphone with tmobile. but i pay 5.99 for tzones. If i get nexus one whats the cheapest data plan can i get and get 3g along with it?

App developers don't want installing apps on SD cards. It leads to piracy. Guess that's why many don't make for WinMo and Symbian anymore, which allows SD card app installation. FYI, RIM Blackberry doesn't allow app SD card installment and neither does the new Windows Mobile Marketplace.

Google however, plans an update that will let you install on the SD card, but the apps will be encrypted and DRM'ed, so they won't be pirated.

As of right now, T-Mobile doesn't block the N1 on T-Zones (data still works) but I don't know how long that's going to last. When I had the Google Ion (Google branded Magic, same spec as the MT3G), T-Zones worked for 2 weeks and web2go ($10) worked for another 2 weeks.
