Google Calendar will not sync

I am using Samsung Vibrant. I am able to enter events in my google calendar on the web and have them show up in my phone. But, the events I enter into my calendar on my phone do not show up in my google calendar online.

Here are the settings on my phone:

ACCOUNTS AND SYNC
sync calendar
sync contacts
sync gmail

All of these are checked.
Auto sync is checked
background data is checked

What am I doing wrong????
 
what if you do it the other way around and add events to your callender online? will they sync to your phone? i don't know much about the ui on your phone but this problem isn't unheard of. maybe your best bet would be to try and exchange it :dontknow:
 
I think, first of all, make sure you could connect to the internet. And when you could connect to the internet, could you use other functions of google sync, such as google contacts and gmail?
 
I imagine it's because you're not adding them to your Google Calendar, but you're only adding them to My Calender (default).

Go to the Calendar app on your phone, Menu -> Create -> enter an event title, date/time, then where it says Calendar with "My calendar" in blue below it, tap that line, select your Google account on that screen.

If you don't do that it will only appear on your phone (My Calendar).

If your google account isn't listed, go to Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Accounts & sync -> Add account, and add your Google account.

I really wish there was a way to make the Google calendar the default calendar to add stuff to, but it defaults to My Calendar which only exists on the phone.
