Goodfellas (on CH4 tonight)

I can't believe I'm watching this yet again on Channel 4 even though I've got the DVD. :eek:

I just love this movie but accidentally turned over after Fame Academy ended and now I can't help but watch it as it's got me hooked.........again. :eek:

Does anyone else get hooked in by movies like this one? :)
 
Was on a week or two ago on TG 4, and I sat up until 1:30am watching it. Now I see it's on Channel 4, and have a feeling I will be doing the same tonight. I'm currently flicking between Goodfellas on Channel 4 and Red Heat on ITV 4!

Yeah, to my horror I 'watched' it again even though I own it on video. :rolleyes:

Fell asleep during the whole middle bit though (only becase I was tired :o), but did see Joe Pesci's 'Funny how?' bit.

He's a mentalist in Goodfellas. :D

To sum up:

Superb cast, great acting, great script, genius dialogue, thorough research and last but not least...brilliant director!
 
this is one of my all-time favourite gangster movies. Joe Pesci and ray liotta particualrly gave brillaint performances.

I think my favourite scenes are all the ones with Joe Pesci especially when he beats up Billy Batts in the pub for telling him to go get his shine box. :D
 
Any scene with Joe Pesci is brilliant in Goodfellas and also in Casino. I think he's even more vicious in Casino, another amazing film that Channel 4 showed recently IIRC.
