Good vampire films?

I recently came across Underworld: Evolution that although I think the plot could have been better, I did quite like. So was wondering what other good vampire films there are?

There are lots of classic Hammer films that I would rate way above any of the CGI stuff from today.

But those films are between 35 and 50 years old.

If you haven't already seen it I would recommend the 80's version of Salem's Lot, starring David Soul and James Mason. 'Might have dated a bit now, I don't know, but i when i first watched it scared me witless.

Bravo forum dwellers for not name checking Queen of The Damned. Great book(s) but Stuart Townsend shat all over the part of Lestat. Never thought I'd pine for Tom Cruise's version.

It's a shame that Aaliya never got to finish filming, she wasn't bad at all, and some of the best parts of the story were missing.

And what a shocker, going from Banderas' Armand to that DiCaprio-alike? Neither really fits the book description, but at least Banderas could be taken seriously.
