Looking for some tips for fishing a river near me.I'm set up with 8lb line.The channel cats on average are gonna be 1-5 pounds.I'll be using nightcrawlers.Just wondering what kind of weights,sizes,hook size etc.
Also where should I be casting to.It'll be from the shoreline.Never fished a river before so I'm a bit lost as to the tactics.
I have rods,reels and all that I just need to know what tackle and how to set it up.
