Good place to host a 30th birthday party for wife in NYC, about 20-30 people? It can be a restaurant or private space or something. Something on the nicer/cooler end of things. If it's a restaurant it must have a "special" area for this, i.e. TAO has that windowed room. Taking all ideas to look into!!! I'm not pressed for time so not worried about booking a specific date. Thanks!

highly reccomend Shalizar! I went to Shalizar last night and had a wonderful meal. The food is very authentic and everything we order was amazing! Excellent appetizers and great deserts as well(loved the cherry dessert). Upscale presentation, pleasant and attentive service and moderately priced. Definitely worth the trip to the UES!
