GOOD covers of BAD songs

Yes, the version of Easy by Faith No More is absolutely fantastic, but the original song is also very good. For my money, believe it or not, and before it got horribly overplayed, The Ataris cover of "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley was far better than the pseudo-80s synth original. That, and they referenced Black Flag instead of the Grateful Dead. Right on.

Much better than the Kurt Weill Ooompa version.

One of Led Zeppelin's great covers. The Jake Holmes version is much to slow for my taste they really transformed this song into there own.

I never liked Michael Jackson's original version of the song this one sounRAB much more edgier.

MM never covered the song. Dope on the other hand, did a great cover of it.

Edit: I went to youtube to find a good video of the song to show you. I decided instead to break my computer in half out of frustration because the first comment on Dope's video was "This isn't the original, this song is from the fifties."

The internet is too durab to survive.

i like pomplamoose's better,cause:
1. it's a million times less slutty
2. it sounRAB better as an indie pop song
3. i simply don't like lady gaga, this thread is all opinion isn't it

Well, I guess we disagree because I think Nirvana did a great cover of Son Of a Gun, I'm just not into the vasselines as much, I definitaly wouldn't call them bad but Nirvana's cover is more my taste.

And no, I don't hink Nirvana played Plateau better than the Meat Puppets, nor did they do Oh, Me and in my opinion, which differ from many, I like the original Lake of Fire more.

another song thats not bad, but a good cover is wounder wall by cartel, great song to begin with, cartel is a nice job of it. Not sure if it is better, just a good one to check out.
