good cellphone for internet & apps ?

my son wants a cellphone next month for his birthday . i'm looking for a good monthly rate and a cell phone that is has a big screen/good graphics for getting on the internet and playing apps/games and stuff .
 
Go with the iphone, is very easy to use and you can download a lot of free apps.
 
if your going with AT&T then i would suggest either the LG VU or the LG Xenon they are both very good phones though the VU has mobile tv capability and the Xenon does not
