good business idea or not?

so the other day i was on google maps and was looking at FL. and realized there are some really big and nice houses down there, and it got me wondering what the heck the owners of those houses do for a living. and then i was think about opening a business that designes and builds houses like that (we would also do other types of building) and i was wondering if that would be a good idea for a business
 
the owners took large mortgages and bought houses, they don't really have big incomes. look up florida housing bust. you'll see what i mean. many of the developers in florida have gone bankrupt.
