? Edward Cullen's Lover ?

We were told that it was required to read one classic novel by the end of the school term.
I as a Twilight fan, immediately Wuthering Heights came to mind (apparently Stephenie Meyer based Twilight on Wuthering Heights) My mum however, said that the book was very heavy and depressing and she reccomended; Dickens, Shakespeare, Little Women and Jane Eyre.
Do you know of any other classics that you think I might possibly enjoy, or whcih out of the novels i have mentioned, do you think I would enjoy?

PS. And, by the way, I'm a 14 year old girl and I love Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman and The Mediator by Meg Cabot - Just so you know what I like! And I don't like scary books.

PPS. I take ages to get into books and I am a reasonably slow reader (with the exception of twilight which I read in 2 days!)

Thanks! xx =)

Your Mom is right about the Bronte sisters. Those books were not written for young people and they are slow starters too. I agree you would like Little Women or any of the others by Alcott. See if you can find a copy of "Under the Lilacs". It isn't so important that you read the certain title by a classic author as you get an appreciation for well written literature from another time. You may also enjoy reading a biography of Louisa Mae Alcott. She was a fascinating woman of her time.
